What we need from you:
Compassion, patience, confidence, and a good sense of humor is a plus
Be on-time forscheduled shifts
Clear communication
Reliable transportation
Must pass a caregiver and criminal background check with no prior convictions related to drugs, violence, or theft
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Proof of legal eligibility to work in the US
Bonus points if you:
Have a drivers license and proof of current insurance
Like hardcore music and sports
Can provide references
Are cool with a dog in the home
Are interested in working some awake overnights, occasional short weekend shifts, the odd overtime hours ($25.50/hr), and potential opportunities to accompany my wife and I while traveling
Your responsibilities while at work:
Assist in position changes and transfers
Help with hygiene, including washing, brushing teeth, and toileting
Prepare meals or snacks and get the food from the dish to my mouth
Help me use my BiPAP, which is like a CPAP, except I often need it during the day
Light cleaning or tidying as needed
At bedtime and waking up, help me change clothes and do a stretching/mobilization routine
For any awake overnight shifts: #1 stay awake, #2 respond when I call and help me reposition
